To lose one Cup match to a lower division side could be misfortune. To lose
two looks like carelessness and that just about sums us up last night -
careless.
We couldn't pass, couldn't tackle, couldn't cross, couldn't defend - you
name it we couldn't do it.
For the first goal Howson made a half tackle on the bloke with the ball and
as it ran free everybody just stood there. As the ball rolled gently past a
presumably unsighted Caspar into the net I thought the ref must have blown
up for some offence such was the imobility of our defenders.
If the start was bad it went steadily downhill from there and the biggest
fear of all around us was that we would equalise a minute from time and have
to suffer another half hour of the shite.
When you add in the part timers who thought that the height of wit was to
sing about Hereford being sheepshaggers and a couple of renditions of the
Munich song I found it a miserable experience last night.
Roll on Cheltenham and then Port Vale.
It can't be any worse.
