Goals change games. They came with a game plan of two banks of four behind the ball and closing the player with the ball down quickly and very well they played it. However, we passed the ball about well in the first half, showed great patience and in spite of our so-called lack of ability were in complete control and created three good chances that were missed by Kandol, Beckford and Lubo. If any one of those had gone in and at least one of them should have, the tenor of the game would have been completely altered and we wouldn't all be in a state of deep depression now. Then the curse of Richardson struck again and we were in deep shit. If you were running a kids team and a ten year old tried to beat his man on the edge of the area you'd kick his arse all round the pitch so when a seasoned professional does it....... personally I'd string him up from the cross bar by his balls. It was nothing to do with him being a right footer playing at left back either, just to do with him being crap and stupid. I don't know what people expect of some of our players. They are playing for us because we are in the third division therefore they are third division players. If they were any better they'd be playing for someone else. They are third division players therefore at times they will exhibit poor ball control, bad choice of pass etc, all faults that better players don't have. For most of the season they haven't been as shite as some of the third division players in the other teams, hence our early season success, but all the changes in personnell plus the change of manager has taken away the team play that made up for our lack of ability earlier in the season. Until Richardson fucked up last night their were signs that it was coming back. It's back to square one now so I'm resigned to another season at this level but I do believe that we have the players to get us out if we start on the same number of points as everybody else, providing Richardson plays right back - in the dressing room!
