well one way of looking at it was we dominated for huges chunks of the game,
Becksford nearly scored in the first minute, and had two or three more decent
chances, Kandol had a good header just over after a nice neat flowing move,
Johnson came close with a long range shot, we had a goal disallowed for a foul
on the keeper when, to my mind it was his own player who impeded him, Elding
scored with a great leap and header as our never say die attitude nearly got us
a point.
Or another way is the lowest crowd of the season (putting to bed once and for
all -the cheap tickets will bring them in theory) hit their lowest point of the
season with the booing of Frazer and then the booing of the substituion of
Howson and the disgraceful chants of "Off, off, off " when Kandol was booked
and the cheers that greeted his substitution.
All this behaviour was caused by the ineptness of a team that had a centre
half at right back, a right back at left back and 4 central midfielders
cluttering up midfield with no width agaisnt a bottom of the table team who
ended up with a goal from a mistake by Frazer, a terrific strike (how often
does that happen agaisnt us !) the worst miss I think I have ever seen and us
being played off the park at times.
