Dave,

I agreed with you with regards to Bournemouth in that
we weren't very impressive and were lucky to win but I
totally disagree with your assessment of last night.
You say that we dominated for large periods. Did we ?
We kept possession and passed it along the back and as
soon as we ventured forward we lost control due to
lack of ability. I think Cheltenham controlled the
game. They sat deep , played a 5 man midfield and let
us have the ball knowing we had no width or invention
to break them down. Then when we passed it arund the
back for 10 mins only to lose possession at the first
pass forward they broke effectively. In the second
half after the got the goal they showed us how to play
with excellent pass and move football. You suddenly
realsied that actually they have better players than
us. They then went on to hit thee bar, miss an open
goal (got to be the miss of all time even worse than
Ronnie Rosenthal's at Villa) and have several other
close chances. We were lucky to come away losing only
2-1. Cheltenham were the best team. How many saves did
their keeper make ? 2 , 3 ??

Other points:

Mcallister's influence is beginning to show with all
this passing but you've got to have players who can do
that. We haven't. Prutton has been given praise
recently but for me he's just a tryer and a runner -
he can't pass a ball to save his life. There was one
incident in the second half where he'd excellently won
the ball in our half and was running towards the kop.
It was 5 onto 4 and he had options all over the park
yet he still managed to pick out the Cheltenham
defender with his pass. Absolute garbage.

Other points:

Why are we playing a right back at left back ? It
never , never works.

Why did we 'pester' Dougie Freedman to come to Leeds
and then stick him on the bench ? He looks like a
player who can play pass and move football. He should
play.

Kandol - worse striker I've ever seen. Said it all
when he was yellow carded for an offence second half
and the kop sang "off off off" - ok it doesn't help
anyone but it's just sheer frustration at his
inability to the basics. Yes he'll score the odd goal
in this league if you put it on his head from 3-5
yards out but he's just not bloody good enough. And he
did have one of those chances last night and he failed
to hit the target. Biggest cheer of the night was when
he went off.

Beckford - 2nd worse striker I've ever seen (on recent
form). Spent all game moaning and trying to get
penalties and fouls. He was put through by Freedman
late on and all he had to do was roll it into the net
, instead he ran it out for a goalkick. Rubbish.

Bradely Johnson - this bloke has got a really bright
future ...... playing for Garforth Town. He's a
f'cking pub player and is certainly no left winger. A
big lump with no pace. His only attribute is a strong
shot. Get f'cking rid.

Positives - not many. I thought Howson and Kilkenny
did ok. They tried their best against a 5 man midfield
but it was never going to happen. Mcallister took
Howson off second half to boos from all areas of the
ground.

Worrying times for me. It was a dreadful evening last
night at Elland Road - one of the worse for many years
in my opinion when you consider the opposition and the
bloody weather. There weren't many people in our stand
from 75 mins on. The people that were left were just
stood shaking their heads. This was an inept
performance.
