IN FAIRNESS to Gordon Brown, the present economic mess is not his fault:

- the credit crunch is almost entirely the fault of the US banks giving
mortgages to literally anyone, and now all banks large or small can't
lend money to anyone under reasonable conditions
- the interest rate in the UK has possibly been too low for a few years
to ensure the pound was competitive against the euro and all us johnny
foreigners in Eurolandia.
- China & India and their ever increasing demands for oil.

The really bad luck is that the whole thing has collapsed SO quickly.

On the other hand, the man has a face like the proverbial bulldog,
nettle, p2ss combo and is plainly not comfortable, does not exude
authority and thus doesn't get it back.

I suspect the UK elections will throw up a hung parliment next time
around, and it could be the Torys (please let no one start a thread on
Cameron) and the Lib Dems. Labour are entirely finished.

I can't believe i'm adding to this thread, BUT, is there a case for John
Major? In hindsight he was not as bad as it appeared....

(have coat, am running)

F'kin' hell!!!
I never said I wanted her back and I agree I will dance in the streets
when the old cow snuffs it.
But if you want a few out of work Mr. Brown's doing a grand job on that
score. Oh sorry, that's not his fault it's global economics, it's only
his doing when it all goes well.
Frankly all politicians are a waste of space and I wish I'd never joined
in this thread :-(
