Yes, a country needs armed forces to defend itself, I think thats
totally legitimate. Not necessarily.................Costa Rica scrapped their
entire army in 1948, and put the money saved into schools and hospitals. As
far as I know, they have not been invaded during that time, despite being
surrounded by military dictatorships for the most part. They have also failed
miserably to support the War on Terror by sending troops to Afghanistan,
obviously.

going to shut up while the debate is still going on.)
