Don't believe all that, players have bust ups all the time! Beckford hands
in transfer requests regularly. Everton wouldn't be so unprofessional as to
ruin the player before they get him

I genuinely believe it is the great first half of the season, the Man U
game high (if you s...@g Cheryl cole once its hard to get back to liking doing
Amy Winehouse!) that plus the subsequent defeats have made a group of
untouchables touchable and with it the loss of confidence, the worry, the
pressure, the realisation we could easily blow it and it would be more
embarrassing than that Wakefield rugby player's miss in the 70s at Wembley.
Added to that the acceptance by fans players coaches etc... that we don't do
play offs. We are in a big hole and Grayson has got to lead us out of it!
as was said yesterday maybe oddly Norwich is a better game to play now
rather than say a Wycombe, the pressure is off. Millwall are effectively
level on points as they have Stockport. Reality is dawning, no one now
expects to go up and with that realisation now comes a different mentality.

Or that might be bollocks and we lose 5-0

Subject: [LU] Beckford: reason for the rot?

I will start by saying that I defended Beckford all through his petulant
career at Leeds, and was staunchly against him leaving in January.

Rumours are floating around (on Waccoe) that Beckford missed a training
session on Saturday to head up to Everton for "talks" and a bust up with
Grayson, not an injury, was the reason for his absence on Monday night. How
true these are, I don't know, but look back to before the transfer request,
and look again now. Is Beckford the same player? So much of our play and
spirit of the team flows through Beckford, and it is really no surprise that
since he has decieded he no longer wants to be a part of Leeds United, we
have looked a shadow of our former selves.

Beckford was the reason we got to where we were in January. Make no mistake.
But is it also possible now, that the position we find ourselves in, is also
down to Beckford? Our morale, our spirit, our desire, all seem shattered. I
am not playing the blame game, I am just trying to find the reason for this.
I just can't help but think that Beckford and his transfer request are
really coming home to haunt us now, in this last crucial phase of the
season.
