I think that you are right that something has happened but it is not Beckford. He might have gone walkabout but that is a symptom and not a cause. What I mean is this. SG has a shown that there are some people that no matter what will not play. Grella, who I thought was injured, Michaelic, there was Pruton, Robinson, Rui --- people who just fell of the radar. That must have a hell of a deleterious effect on the atmosphere. Add to that the guys coming in. More than once it is due to a friend in the 'favoured pool'. I have a feeling that there are factions. And this makes for negativity and tension. Look at it another way. How many guys are sure to be there next year and why? I think that after ManU SG made this more obvious. We got hit by the rivals renewed 'cup final' against us. We went on a slide & this made the latent discontent overt, more wide spread. This was re-enforced all the time by shitty results. It looks similar to the 'Watford Final'. remember that SG has never managed a large squad. I don't know how true this is but it sure is an explanation and explanations are sorely needed. If it is true then we are out of any promotion prospects. So I hope that I am wrong.
