Browns "answers" seemed to either consist of how much money they had or would spend, or to totally ignore the question and try and swing it round to the libdems and conservatives abolishing child tax credits.
Wrt the former, first we all know how much we can believe this government when they promise money, and second, don't they realise we don't have any money because they spent it all and run up a huge credit card bill? When are they going to learn that throwing more and more money at problems is NOT the answer, especially when you don't have that money. Wrt the latter, both the libdems and conservatives clearly refuted the child tax credit claim but Gordon's instructions were clear and he kept on going on about it, somehow linking it to poverty and hitting poor families. Seems his big ears don't actually do the job they were designed for. You would have thought that Leeds Utd supporters more than anyone else can understand running up huge debts is wrong, but obviously not :-) > Is it just that the the British are conforming to their evident history > over > the past 30 years or so where it seems dishonesty at the top is quite > acceptable? > > Damian - now where's that application form for French nationality ;) _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
