I have looked through legacy's page on setting up to cut reeds using a side
cutting bit. But, their description appears to be based on a uniform spindle,
not a tapered one. I realize you set the Z-axis to the depth of your centers,
and to set the Y-axis you rest the bearing along the side of the spindle. This
makes sense to me if your stock is uniform in thickness. But, when you reset
your depth to match your centers, will the bearing be able to contact the stock
to allow you to follow the taper?

Thanks,
Brandon
