As far as I know, no plans are available for sale. Call Legacy and ask and get back to us :-). I know there are no videos available anymore.

I have a 900 ornamental mill. I am wondering whether any of the plans Legacy Woodworking used to sell are still available. At one time they were selling plans for the hollow spiral candelstick among others. I would like to purchase plans if they are available. If the previous owner sourced the parts from a model 1000, they are also different. Did you call legacy and ask for the split nut components? -Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: o2pi...@gmail.com To: legacy-ornamental-mills@googlegroups.com Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2014 9:27 PM Subject: Re: Intro and a few questions Thanks for the welcome, folks! I'll get some pictures up soon, but I have been searching the net at various places, and have figured out how to make my own split nuts. I need the one (both parts) for the long lead screw. Interestingly enough, the broken parts I have don't fit. If I put the nut on the lead screw, the part that mounts on the cross feed carriage doesn't line up, by about an inch. So, I designed a plate that will allow me to use my own design for a split nut that is threaded on both sides. I have yet to produce the parts, they are just on a drawing so far. I found your group when asking about the 900 at LumberJocks. I post as Dark Lightning there. I also found information at the RouterForums (Dark Lightning there, too). Lessee- I have the stand, no casters. No Z-axis mechanism. No router came with it, but I have a Porter-Cable that will work. Bunches of gears, but not sure what they do, quite yet. This was completely assembled, partially incorrectly. I had to buy a bunch of fasteners to put it together. I did the proper assembly based on some miscellaneous pictures around the internet and experience with machinery over my decades of living. Like I posted before, this thing got knocked over, before it even got used, as there was only dust-bunnies on it, no sawdust. The guy I bought it from said it was all there, and that the manual was readily available from Legacy- hah! All kidding aside, I was looking for a stand for my Record lathe. The worst case scenario is I sell off all the stuff I won't be using if I end up doing that, and I paid less for this than I would have for a stand. I like the idea of interfacing this with my lathe though, I think some interesting turnings could be had. I just purchased a Legacy 900, and need some parts, but would like to have access to a manual so I can finish putting it together and determine for sure what I need. It appears to have been tipped over, as both the drive screws were bent, and the handle on the cross feed crank is missing. I straightened out the lead screws, already. I got it cheaply enough that if I can't get the parts I need, I'll use it as a lathe stand and sell off the other bits. Or, I could integrate it with my lathe; that would be interesting. It would be cool to be able to turn with a variable angle on the feed, instead of free-hand. What I know I need right off the bat is the smooth side of the split nut for the long lead screw. It also got broken in the accident. Handles I can make. I'm also missing the big gear with all the indexing holes. Does anyone have an electronic copy of the assembly instructions, and more importantly, pics or a parts list? At least then I can ask intelligent questions about this thing.
