Does any one have experience or recommendations on using collet extender on LOM. I'm using a Porter Cable 7518 body with a quick attach collet. I am using a large DIA (2 & 3") planer bits - bottom and side cutting and have concern for rotational stability. I'm setting rotational speed at 10,000 rpm but when unit is first turned on it starts at 16000 or higher and settles to 10k. I'm trying to extend 1 1/2 - 2" lower than I can achieve with the conventional bit. In put would be appreciated.
