Hello and good morning Dewell
Yes I own a VHS-DVD burner, and have copied and transferred many old Legacy
video's in to DVD's for quite a few members, I do remember coping the MA 12
videos for you What was is some three years ago?
Welcome Back Dewell, I hope your shop is up and running well in Oregon.

To answer your question, about the 36 and 40 position indexing plates, One
possible reason is for coping already made idioms, where the spacing of flutes
or other details have to be more or less exact.to match an all ready made
idiom. I personally have run into this problem in the past , doing side job
work for people.

By the way, if you or anyone in the group runs into this problem, Mike Pung has
a gear indexing video on YouTube, He can match up almost any indexing needed
with out the use of indexing plated, and counting all those little hole.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHgzEKnON-o By using the gears/pitches you can
come up with an almost limitless number of indexing possibility's . ( Good
stuff in my Book! Thank's Mike! this idea is a very real gem in my tool box.)

Its time for me to get to work.
Have a GREAT DAY.
And Please keep in touch.

C.A.G.

Subject: Index Plates

Can someone please tell me what I could possible make that would require the
use of a 36 and/or 40 position index plate(s)?
BTW:My previous two posts indicate "me" as the author of those posts. If this
(one) does also; please let me note that my name is Dewell and I transplanted
myself from Florida to Oregon 15 months ago.
Was it you Curtis (CAG) who wanted me to send you the MA 12 videos a couple of
years ago, so you could copy them? Or was it someone else? I stand ready to
assist you. Please identify yourself.
Be cool and always...SAFETY FIRST!
