Ok guys time to change the subject line again. Guess it would be better as
UNDERSTANDING how to use a Legacy Mill. I am having a heck of a time
figuring out how to do rope molding. I have watched the video that came
with the mill and it doesn't explain how to know the gear set and
everything to know how to do a 6 inch diameter column . Maybe I'm just
making this to hard. I know I should be able to do this without having to
take the gears loose and using the index gear to index it then reengage the
gears. Shouldn't I ? I n the video he uses measurements to do all this. He
has a 3 inch pitch and adjusts it back 1 1/2 inches. Which I understand
that being half of the 3 inch pitch and putting 2 passes on the spindle
.Any help greatly appreciated.

                                     Thanks Ira
