Hi Robert,

Welcome - thanks for your post.

Question re: "
... received one with stand and router as a gift rusting in his backyard." How
did that happen? Did some "Ornamental Mill Gnomes/Trolls" put it there one
night? Or did he buy the house and the Mill was left behind by previous
owner?(I can't imagine a neighbor tossing one over the fence into his yard -
but I guess anything is possible.)I hope you have given it an "indoor home" and
are taking steps to clean it up and either use it or post its parts &
pieces here for sale.BTW - How'd the router fare - being left "rusting in the
back yard"? (Hoping that it was not left out in the elements!)Thanks again -
looking forward to hearing & seeing more from you. Please post some pics -
of the before & after, if you have them.Mac-----Original Message-----

Subject: Re: Why did you buy an ornamental mill?

an elementary school teacher received one with stand and router as a gift
rusting in his backyard
I worked at wood supply store and he asked if anyone want it for $300, i have
never used it, but just for the metal parts it's worth more than 300 i think...

Great group I appreciate all these emails, even though I only read ~10% of it
it's better than any other groups I've ever joined

Hello All,

I thought I would toss this question out to hear why you bought your
ornamental mill. For me, I bought my first machine when I wanted to
bring a different level of details to my current work. I was in a real
niche market that I wanted to do some woodworking "tricks" that few
people could figure out how they were made.

How about you?
