I do the same as Bill with one addition;  I send a GEDCOM to myself attached to an email and save it in my MSN folder, off -site and can be accessed anytime any where........ I suppose I also quality as paranoid !!  My data base is not huge and I have loads of space on MSN.   Pat I'm also looking at storing my back-ups on a commercial remote datastore. Call me paranoid if you like, but I've invested too much time and effort to lose it.
