Hi,
You can cut and paste data with tabs into Legacy Notes and the tabs remain.
If you are typing in any Legacy notes you need to use CTRL+Tab to
enter a tab space.
If you have the data in a table, you need to change it to text with
tabs separating the columns in order to include it in notes and be
able to print it in Legacy reports.
You may need to add more tabs to get it to line up. I've found that
sometimes I need to add some spaces as well, especially if there is a
big difference in the length of the information in one "column".
However it works pretty well - though not perfectly - provided you're
not using too many different fonts.
As Ron says, you can attach as an attachment - but then the
information doesn't print in a report.

Hello,
I am trying to find the best way of including some tabular information
in Legacy.
I would like to include under the tab Notes for Baptism, Marriage,
etc., the data I found in Church Records. I would also like to include
the label for each fiel in three languages.
A table would be the ideal thing (3 columns for the labels in three
languages, then one for the data; and one line for each field, e.g.,
Father name, Mother name, Child name, Date of birth, etc.)
I tried to paste a table, and it works nicely - except that, when I
re-open the record, all I have is the text, the table formatting is
gone (I bought V6.0 De Luxe thinking that it would solve this problem
- it did not).
Another possibility would be to add it as a picture, but that is not
the ideal solution, Unfortunately, only picture files are allowed - it
would be nice if I could have an Excel file among the pictures.
Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks in advance for your comments
