Kirstin,

I am not clear about the first part of your question. There is no real need to back-up these files as if they become corrupted then they can just be deleted and Legacy will recreate them when you reset your settings. The point I was making was only in relation to an occasion when one wanted to reformat the disc and not as a general back-up. I don't back them up - except that if a new version of Legacy comes out I do as a "just in case" precaution.

The files in question are those which have a .USR extension and assuming that you are using the Legacy defaults may be found by going to My Computers>Local Disc (C)>Legacy.

Hope this helps.

Ron Ferguson

Ron, I am trying to save space in my backups. Where do I find the User files?

I take that in this case you only saved the backup files to disc.
Assuming that you use Legacy defaults when installing, then save the whole legacy folder to disc and then put it back on the C:\ drive after reformatting and installing Windows. You will still have to reinstall Legacy for it to work but your settings should still be OK. It is the User files which are important in this respect.
