<<Why should you not type surnames in all caps? I do.>>
I started on a different program which stored each name the way you typed it
in. It also displayed surnames in caps, no matter which way they were typed,
but I did not realized that at first. I merrily typed the surname in all
caps, then had occasion to type the same name as a middle name (or a given
name). It came out all caps, so I 'corrected' it (I thought). Next time I
got that name as a surname, it was lower case with leading caps. What
Happened ????????????
I finally realized that each name was stored only once, and if it was not in
mixed case either the given name or the surname would display wrong. Once I
typed them all in mixed case, and let the computer do the capitalizing,
there was no problem.
Legacy does not have the same display rules of the other program, but
another program could cause similar problems.
