No argument from me Elizabeth - I agree with you. While each of us may have different ideas on how and what and how much etc to record in the source fields, I feel that it is just as important for future individuals to do their own researching and verifying as it is for me to do it in this present time. I have read many comments by Listers here about "how will my g-g-grandchildren know what I mean...." etc - well, my answer to that is "how did *I* know what others before me meant". The answer of course is by undertaking the research, and checking whatever research has been handed down. After all, 30 years ago, there were no online facilities or digitized records or anything that we have access to today. I can't imagine that this will take any sort of a backward step and in fact, the future keepers of family histories will probably have a much greater range of tools at their disposal than we could ever dream of!
