I have just finished importing a new family and as is my practice gave them a
high RIN. I then merged the father with an individual in my tree and renumbered
the new family's RINs to carry on from end of the existing family. A procedure
which I have carried out many times in the past.

I have Legacy set "not to reuse abandoned RINs" as this would cause me awful
problems with my Pedigree web pages. However, I now find that when I enter a
new individual he/she is being allocated a RIN greater than the last of the
imported file and not the next in the current list.

Has anyone else noticed this change and can someone tell me where the pointer
for the next RIN is stored so that I can change it?

Thanks in advance

Ron Ferguson
