I have some family member that are older and of the old school. Some of
them are embarrassed about a son or daughter divorcing and don't want it
to become gossip or rumor. I have one family member's daughter whose
husband left her after many years. Did I record it? Yes. But, when I
uploaded to the website, I took out the divorce details and it still
shows them married. Once the initial pain and wound heals, then I may
add the divorce information online. I do it out of respect for a family
member's feelings. I wouldn't do anything to hurt them.

Do I upload the names and details of living members to the website? You
bet I do! BUT! The GEDCOM's are password protected and they have to
register and I have to approve each request only allowing family members
and I limit their viewings to 3 relationships out.
