In our family I have kept all the information on my ex (who is now deceased) and have a very extensive family tree on his side. BUT!!!! There are children involved so I wanted this information for them and the grandchildren. I have lost touch with his mother but am trying to locate her.
If there are no children involved I would only have the basic information about the spouse and maybe the parents. The spouse's mother may want to keep the photos, etc. Doesn't hurt to ask.
