Subject: [LegacyUG] Historical shifting of national boundaries

I have ancestors in my database [Legacy 7 (Deluxe)] that emigrated to the US
from the Hungarian part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (now Slovakia). In
entering data, I have read I should put the current location in the Location
Field (that reflects where the vital records are now located) but would also
like to keep the historical location, for that is the place from which they
emigrated!

How do I enter and save both locations for the same person/event in my Legacy
program [e.g. Beszterczebanya, Zolyom, Hungary and Banska Bystrica, Slovakia]
also noting which location is current and which location is historic?

[This is also an issue in the US, e.g. West Virginia from Virginia.]

Carolyn
