Robert,
I take that back..... it worked!!!  In Options > Customize there's also the 
setting to "display surname".....  and I still had that set to ALL CAPS.  (So, 
in reality, we don't know whether it worked or not, do we?  Maybe they were 
never in ALL CAPS??  haha)
