Hi Joyce,

I have another system that began much like I understand yours tp be.  I scan or
otherwise digitally capture everything that crosses my path, that's related to
my family history.  I have just over 7,276 images across 51families.  The
catalog is an Excel spreadsheet and the images are grouped into folders, one
for each marriage.  My largest folder contains 2250 images and my smallest has
just 1 image.

Hundreds of these images are linked to various persons in Legacy.  Some are
headshots, some are marriage photos and some are images of the evidence upon
which I base the fact entered, e.g., death certificate for death date.  That
way I have not only the fact, but also the evidence.

I backup regularly onto a Corsair 32MB flash drive, on which I also back up my
Legacy.  Transferring to another computer is then just a matter of copying the
files from the flash drive on to the new computer.

Tom
