The obvious place would be UserID.  You can easily add an identifier (a
letter or letters before or after) if you want to distinguish these
numbers from any UserIDs you might use for people you have "found"
elsewhere.

I use UserIDs for the individuals in my file and it comprises a
family/generation identifier and the RIN.  Whenever I refer to a person
in my file - such as in another person's Event or Notes (witness, census
household etc) I include the RIN after their name. Originally I used the
whole UserID but decided that wasn't necessary. It doesn't make much
difference to people who don't need to use it, but it's handy for those
(including me) who want to refer to the person's main entry elsewhere in
a Report.
