Kirsten, I don't think that your problem is the same as that described by Leo. I am aware of that bug (and find it very annoying), but it occurs only when a source is erroneously added twice, it also makes it more difficult to correct sourcing errors.
As you say, in your case you are only adding the source once to each event, and it is this situation which I cannot replicate. I would hope that others may look at this so that we may determine whether it is my result, or yours, which is the most common. We are clearly doing something different!
