Because we ask for a lot of stuff, and we haven't made enough noise about this one, not to mention the things they need to add to attract new customers. Not intending to sound as cynical as I do! Probably because I used to be in software development. I'm sure there is some sort of change to the database, and that logic is everywhere--these are the original fields we're talking about, not recently added ones.
