I am unable to reproduce this failure. I routinely create search lists for all people with research notes. I then tag everyone in the search list with tag 1 and create a search list for tag 1. (The reason for the second list is to allow me to create other searches and still recreate my "Research List" by searching on tag 1 again). If I edit the first one in the list, then go to someone else (even one who is not on the list) all I do is hit F3 (shortcut for "find next" and it takes me right to that person.
