Yup, it could be only one picture that causes the problem.

I linked over 25 pics to one individual, most of them larger TIFs, and
that Picture Gallery is always slower to load than the one with over
25 pics in JPG with a file size of 150-200 KB..  That file size is
more than adequate for using in printed books.
