Have you defragged your computer? You told me that you have never done
this and defragging can speed up a computer considerably.

I have also told you to do that along with resizing your pictures.
There is *no* reason why you need to have large size pictures linked
to in Legacy. Even if you create wall charts, the pictures will
probably never be any larger than 4x6 or 5x7 and a 200 dpi file is
perfectly suitable for that.

When we have users report a problem with the Picture Gallery loaded
and they respond to our suggestion of resizing the pictures, they
report back that Picture Gallery now runs fine.
