Hi Pat,

How many Source Writer sources are there that need to be changed in your
database?

If it's only a few, you could simply set up a new Basic Source for each,
copying over the relevant information, and then apply that source to
each field where the Source Writer source is used. Once that's done,
remove the old SW source from those fields, and delete the Master Source
when there are no longer any people using it.

That way, you avoid loosing the other data that Sherry mentioned in her
post. And you might even spot a few old mistakes along the way that you
hadn't noticed before, and have the opportunity to correct them.

This is a suggestion only - you're the only one can decide if it's a
feasible option for you and your database. :-)
