Hi Sherry
I open the database that I have the locations store for prosperity. I have a dummy person in the database so it is a legitimate file.
I then do as follows:
- Open the locations icon
- Click on the options button
- Select Import
- Browse for the database that I wish to import the locations from and select it. The locations in the database that I which to import have not been tagged
- It now appears in the 'Select a Family File ...' line
- I then tick the Location List
- I then click the Import List Button
- I Then get a message that 'All checked lists have been updated'
This is where the problem is, as previously it would run and import the non duplicate Locations and stop to ask if there where any with a GEO Database difference (ie. the coordinates)
No additional locations are imported.
This problem has also been reported by Matt Henderson on the 26 Sept 2004 with no response until to date.
Hope you can fix this problem, as my location list includes a lot of legitimate locations that are not in the GEO database. Mainly Australian which I have verified from the government Gazetteer sites.
Thanks for your wonderful assistance and to the list for all the help they give.

Keith,
I did miss the message.
Are you getting an error message when you try to import the locations? What options are you selecting when importing?
Thanks for using Legacy.

Dear Support
I was wondering if you missed my post regarding the importing of locations between databases.
____________ Hi
Since I have updated to the latest build (5.0.0.161), I cannot import locations from one database to another.
I do this so I can keep the format and coordinates correct between database when the locations are not available in the GEO Location Database.
This importing worked fine prior to the latest update. Could support please have a look at this, as I need this function if we are not permitted to update the GEO Database.
Thanks to all for the wonderful information and support.

Keith Skinner
