Hi, Dennis
Confess I haven't had to deal with "mixed" adoptions, where one parent
is natural parent.
Re the situation you described - I tried it just now, it is puzzling!
>Add a couple A and B with child X.
>Now add a 2nd husband C to B.
>Link child X as adopted to C/B.
>Tick show 1/2 kids.

"LINK child X ...to C/B", results in child appearing twice.

I tried:
Add a couple A and B with child X.
Tick "show 1/2 half kids"
Child X appears as child of father A and mother B.
Now add a 2nd husband C to B
Switch to Family View for step-fatherC and mother B
Child X now appears as 1/2 (with the father's name in brackets).

Family Views now look OK, but because the child isn't LINKED to
stepfatherC and mother B, you can't mark the Relationship "adopted"..

Maybe this is a question for Support? <vbg>
