perhaps I mis-read... you need to select courier in the reports print option... selecting for on-screen will not help your printout.
If you are intent on having columns line up, it is best to use courier for both on-screen and reports, that way what you see is what you get... I didn't actually try that before responding, since I don't have any notes formatted in columns. I did test it now, but apparently even though the Courier font is used on the screen, the reports don't use Courier even when that is specified as the font for Notes on reports. I have no idea why not.
