The problem with TreeDraw and automatically including pictures is that it imports ALL pictures attached to an individual or none - or I haven't found the option to include just the preferred picture.

Legacy Charting Companion doesn't have the flexibility of TreeDraw. It also doesn't include a drop down chart.

My tip if you don't want a very long and narrow chart is to only bring in 2 or 3 generations at a time. If you are colour coding name tags etc at the family reunion, you can also in this way colour code the lines joining the members of each branch of the family.

I stagger the different branches so that I get a rectangular chart rather than a wall frieze.

Thank you Cliff and Sherry,

If Treedraw works with Version 6 as Sherry indicated and since it WILL import my pictures as you confirmed Cliff it looks like I will be safe getting a copy.

I know the fellow I spoke with at the reunion was not unhappy with having used Treedraw and the chart he had printed was a big hit. We do not have Kinkos here in Canada but I'm sure I will be able to find a printer.
