If you use "AND" instead of "OR", you'll get a list of individuals that have
neither name.
"OR" gives you a list of individuals that don't have an alt given name but
may have an alt surname along with individuals that don't have an alt
surname but may have an alt given name.

I am running the Aug. 10 build on a Toshiba laptop with XP Ser Pack 2.
Both of your searches above return zero results, in spite of the fact
that there are indeed many individuals who meet the criteria. There
appears to be something wrong with the search engine. It may be
specific to a particular hardware/software configuration, but there is
something going on.
