They wouldn't be duplicating any efforts. They'd be providing a newer technology that potentially offers more flexibility and expandability. Mailing lists are solutions to a problem that originated at the dawn of e-mailing.

Why would AT&T waste time duplicating the efforts of the orignal "wireless" service (morse code-based)? <grin> Today, why is Verizon offering VOIP services when they have perfectly functional phone service?

Why should I need to set up filters for specific cases and watches when that entire process can be automated from the start? It also allows users to see what they want, when they want it, even if it was posted 2 years ago. It also would be placed into very specific topics, which isn't done today.

Millenia to create duplicate work so you don't have to read everything you aren't interested in is asking a bit much. I would prefer to see their efforts directed towards correcting the already growing list of bugs in ver. 6.
That's a cop out. I don't mean that in an insulting manner, but that example can be used for ANYTHING essentially meaning that Millenia should never do anything but work on code. Businesses exist outside of code and customer service improvements are part of that equation.

Point four. The point of a mailing list is so that when one person has a solution to a question, they can share it with everyone who may have the same or similar problem. If you don't want to read other solutions, don't.
A web forum would allow that to happen in a MUCH improved fashion. I may not have the problem today, but when I do run into it much later, I can just go to the web forum, click on Search, type in my search criteria (including complex searches) and get results back. Meanwhile I didn't have to filter out those messages when they were originally posted.
