Did you check whether is works with W98SE first?
Most new programs these days want WinXP
Perhaps you should have waited for a few weeks before you bought it and all the new bugs have been ironed out - I am not getting mine till Christmas!

Why not go back to v5 for a few weeks, till the first update has been done?

I too am running Win 98SE and have never had so much trouble with Legacy

before. Frequent error msges; unable to get into the research option;
continual shutting down and on occasions running out of memory (I have
320mb). Lots of frustrations all day. Not like 'my Legacy' at all :'(
