I'm not sure, but I think I may have partially solved my problem. When I
went into the Virtual Memory to set the minimum, I noticed that it was
set to allow Windows to manage the memory. There was a 0 in the minimum
amount and another figure in the maximum amount 18698 or something like
that. When I changed it to allow me to specify the minimum amount and
set it to 2GB, then rebooted the computer it made no difference to
Legacy's performance. So I went back into the Virtual Memory and reset
it to allow Windows to manage it as before. This time I noticed the
minimum was at 0 as before, but there was no maximum. I rebooted my
computer again to allow the setting to take effect and then tried Legacy
with a Word Document and it managed it. However, when I opened MS
Outlook as well, it once again failed to work properly. It's obviously a
memory problem, but at least it will work with a document now, so I can
get on with what I was doing. I hope this might be of help to the others
who are experiencing the same problems. If anyone finds another answer
please let me know as I'm still not completely happyy.
Regards Patricia
