Hi Mary,

I understand the point that you are making and I agree if your default is set to eg. C:/Legacy/Data then this is the folder which should be opened on all occasions. My observation was just one based on what I have seen in numerous programs and I do not know why when a default is set it does not seem to work.

I cannot readily check to see if I get the same effect as yourself as I keep mine all in the same folder ( and I really don't want to risk messing things up by moving them!)

Sorry, can't get my head round this at all. I would expect the
"default" folder *always" to appear when I want to open a Data File.
