Some additional things to consider. I assume you want to vaccuum the state for all its worth? In that case, birth and death won't catch everyone you should be on the lookout for. Often one lacks hard evidence for the birth or death place of an individual, and so it remains blank, even though a North Carolina event (e.g. census, military, taxes, probate, inventory, will, etc.) applies. To catch those, do a Detailled Search where "event place" contains "North Carolina" and then TAG everyone in the search list. Do the searches other listers suggested and TAG them too. Remember to search and tag on christenings and burials too, as these, like birth and death, are not "events" in Legacy's philosophy. Keep tagging the search results, and then print out the lot. Notice that NONE of the above will get you the folks who were obviously born and died in North Carolina, such as infants, but for whom we have no data. To remind yourself of them, you have to look at every family the above procedures tagged, and manually tag all the inviduals who obviously were born and died in North Carolina. Computer searches don't know from obvious. Jonathan
