Imported tags are something else again - separate from the 9
individual and marriage tags.
They show that an individual has been IMPORTED rather than ADDED.
Probably set for everyone in your new file unless you've added people since.

Where to look - Imported
Can be useful if cleared before importing a Gedcom as an extra flag
to refind new people though I usually give them higher RINs.
Any other ideas on using this tag?

Thanks again, saved me from searching all over again and trying to
remember what my tags were being used for.
Speaking of tags, there is a menu item under tools that says 'Clear
imported tags', I cannot find any help files on this menu item but I
am assuming that, since all my tags actually imported into my new
database except what the discriptions were, that this menu item
would clear all these tags. Is this correct?
