Legacy staff,
Every downloadable software program turns into a non-stop test project!

After 11 public downloads of Legacy 6, why does it still need a "ton of bug
fixes" and will there be a new program CD? Some registered customers have
learned to keep backups of program builds and data files to match because a
few builds of Legacy *added* new bugs. One customer had to use a prior build
of Legacy to finish a book in time for a family reunion a few years ago.

Some changes to Legacy do not work as expected until report options are
reset to default or USR files are deleted. I usually delete *all* USR files
before checking a new build of Legacy (or asking about apparent bugs) but it
takes a long time to reset options for screen views and output.

After the long delay [nearly three months since Feb 28 build] between Legacy
6 updates, I'm guessing that it will have some new Deluxe features and
larger program file size as well as bug fixes. Will data files created in
the next build open on a computer with a reload of the original Legacy 6
program CD? Please include the information with an announcement if the next
build is more like a new version.
