I'm aware that the final release was issued on May 10th. I installed it on May 11th (after testing the public beta in April) and uninstalled it yesterday.

My points are:

1. Clooz DOES modify Legacy .fdb files. To my knowledge, this is the only Legacy "add-on" that does so.
2. Sherry indicated she was unaware of said modification.

What's your point?

I WAS referring to the final 2.0 download, and I was (and am) extremely fair.

Dick Davis wrote:
Well that might be plan, but as of this time - it doesn't do that - also,
If
you want the program to import the selected information, then you have to
make that selection when you create the database.

I find that your looking at a public beta in Apr and now the full product
is
available - is a unfair and contains bias - I think that it would be more
fair and just to down load the 15 trial version and then make your
assessment rather than basing it on a version that is not - "not being
used,
and really not a baseline."

Clooz writes both people and sources to Legacy, which I find a bit scary, given that I found the beta to be a bit buggy. I wondered if the Legacy folks had given Clooz its blessing...Apparently, people are copied from Clooz to Legacy, but since Clooz isn't gender-aware, you need to update the gender for new people in Legacy after the copy.

Here's a snip from the Clooz list re: entering sources from Clooz to
Legacy:

This is by design. Clooz copies sources to Legacy and Legacy copies
sources to Clooz. You will have duplicates initially. And the census
descriptions are described in help.

I don't know about any "interface on the Legacy side". All I know is
that
Clooz will import the source information for Legacy - I've never heard
anything about going from Clooz to Legacy.

Thanks for using Legacy.

You said it much better than I did Sherry. So, when will the interface on
the legacy side be done? The last status that I knew, Geoff was going to
talk with Ken on this, but have not hear anything back.
If you would rather me contact Geoff, let me know.

Clooz is kinda like a Legacy add-on now... in Clooz 2.0 you can import
your
Legacy data directly into the program.
If you want to discuss Clooz as it pertains to using it with Legacy,
that's
fine with me. If you want to discuss Clooz in general, then the Clooz
list
is probably a great place because you'll get input from other Clooz
users!
Thanks for using Legacy.

Well, I think that we need to take this offline, as it is really not here
to
discuss advantages, disadvantages, etc. - I think that sherry and company
are being very polite to allow this to start, but lets take off line.

Lets go to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] and sign up and then the discussion
can
be there.
