You're correct.

I was testing Clooz also and in the early stages we were having a hard time
getting the Legacy database to open directly into Clooz. Liz finally got
that problem solved, but once I got the file imported and tried to work with
it, the data input windows were truncated, which the Clooz programmers
couldn't duplicate and I couldn't add new data into Clooz and basically gave
up trying to work with it!

According to the Clooz Help file, under "Using Clooz with Legacy":

"if you are using the two programs together, and you add a new person to
Clooz, the program will ask if you want to add that person to Legacy.

"If you say yes, you'll need to go in to Legacy and select a sex for the
person, as Clooz doesn't keep track of an individual's sex."

and then a bit on down

"If you're using Clooz and Legacy together, you need to know that the two
programs share some data. All of the dropdown fields in Clooz that store
locations (i.e. city, country, township, etc.), repositories, and events are
shared. So, if you go in to Lists in Clooz and select one of these choices
and then try to delete an entry, you will be warned that deleting the entry
may affect your data in Legacy as well. You can delete the entry, but you
need to know that may have consequences in Legacy."

So yes, data is added to Legacy, but ONLY after *you* authorize the changes.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Clooz

Clooz writes both people and sources to Legacy, which I find a bit scary,
given that I found the beta to be a bit buggy. I wondered if the Legacy
folks had given Clooz its blessing...Apparently, people are copied from
Clooz to Legacy, but since Clooz isn't gender-aware, you need to update the
gender for new people in Legacy after the copy.
