Gail Yes, this is exactly what I was referring to. The "linking" methodology used in Picture Center seems the ideal process to use when assigning Sources to multiple individuals.
The Clipboard appears to work. However, it does not appear to be as efficient either in time nor space required as the "linking" method could be. Further, there is no restriction on number of uses (e.g., 10) and comments can be easily reviewed. I'm surprised the programmers did not use this method in their original design to conserve file size if nothing else, particularly since the process for Picture Center works so well. The source clipboard is very nice, but still if you keep your master sources general (i.e. a newspaper) and your citation detail gives the specifics (i.e. obit for John Doe), you still have to paste multiple individual copies of this master+detail combo in multiple places and to multiple people. Each time you paste it in, a new separate line of data is created. If Legacy could allow the user to *link* one instance of the master+detail combo to many people and/or facts, then we would save a lot of space and and we could click on the link to see which people use this exact master+detail combo. This would be a huge benefit in my opinion. I keep hoping!! Gary and Marie, was this kind of what you too were saying?"
