While nontechnical discussions seem to have a pretty bad track record
in this list (since people tend to get riled up about those), Apple
certainly is dong their best to alienate the technical community
completely by general patent trolling and exclusionary tactics lately.

While it's admittedly extremely childish, it would seem that
contributing one's free time to anything that would make Apple a more
desirable platform compared to Linux or even Windows is a faustian
bargain.

I think what is needed is an easy PyQt installer for Mac. I don't know
why nobody bothers, I'd expect this chore to be picked up some mac
user that need's a pyqt program. Leo is certainly not the only project
that needs it.
