Yes, I guess we're back to a fundamental problem with PyQt. I just Googled this a bit myself, and it turns out there is a working (although difficult and fraught with disadvantages) procedure for turning many PyQt applications into Mac .app bundles. http://arstechnica.com/open-source/guides/2009/03/how-to-deploying-pyqt-applications-on-windows-and-mac-os-x.ars/2 The author of that very useful post points out that PyQt is simply not made for distribution on the Mac (yet?). So perhaps this is not a problem any of us (me or the Leo community) can solve (without becoming PyQt contributors). It's not a flaw in Leo's code, nor my installation-fu, but rather a flaw in the tools that were used to build Leo. > > But perhaps most importantly, the Leo homepage describes Leo as > > "Portable...runs on Windows, Linux and MacOS X." I haven't tried to accomplish anything with it. But you're right, I must confess that the statement on the homepage is true--Leo works on Mac OS X, if you don't mind the UI being less than what other platforms get. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group.
